With Barack Obama as the first African American frontrunner
in a presidential election, the issue of race was bound to come up at some
point. Now, the issue for us pragmatic
Americans is not talk but action. The Clintons’
argument from experience suggests that Obama is all talk. That is, he trumpets hope and change with no
record of achievement.
Robert Johnson, BET’s billionaire founder, defended the Clintons’
record on race, and, now that Bill Clinton has seen that Obama’s campaign is
not a “fairy tale”, Bill has begun to campaign almost as vigorously as
Hillary. The question is: Do the Clintons’
actions back up their words? While
Barack was preaching on the conquest of Jericho and God’s ability to overcome
insurmountable obstacles (Barack’s
speech), Bill slept in church (here).
Chalk that one up to experience, I guess.
